Yep, there're always things we could use more help with. The biggest thing is transcriptions themselves, if you want to transcribe videos (especially crash course, scishow, sexplanations). Or if you're more into tedious organizational tasks, you can manage the Categories and Credits on each video to ensure they're complete and correct.
There are a number of other things that can be done as well (correcting the grammar/spelling/formatting of existing transcripts, translating transcripts into other languages, writing/editing wiki entries, etc.). Any area you'd like to help out would be appreciated!

Site Updates 2014/2/8
- Added rel=nofollow to a bunch of links to try to get them out of search engines. Links on a video page that go to another language that doesn't have a translation will have a nofollow, along with all links to the translate pages. Hopefully this improves SEO. I've been having some trouble with Google results pointing to the translate pages or to random languages that we don't have any translations for.
- Added a basic Recent Changes page to each channel. Currently this only tells you transcript-level changes for videos on that channel (i.e. no category/credit info).
- Added the same thing to Language pages.
- Fixed an issue that was causing a redirect loop on the All Languages page.
- Finally added allthequestions as an invisible channel.
- Fixed an issue where empty parentheses would appear on the channel page if no videos had credits yet.
- Fixed some issues with admin sections breaking as a result of recent refactoring.
- Removed sub-channels from the channel/category list on the (un)transcribed pages of the Language section.
- Added pagination to the discussion page. It now displays 20 threads per page, including previously-archived threads. This doesn't affect language discussion pages yet. For now, archiving a post only does something noticeable on language discussion pages.

Site Updates 2014/2/6
- Changed the background colors on the channel dropdown and wiki dropdown.
- Restyled the recent videos list on the homepage a little.
- Added video credits to the channel pages. This includes counts of which people have been credited in that channel's videos, links to view lists of these videos, a count of how many videos do not yet have any credits, and a link to a list of those.

Site Updates 2014/2/5
- Added Bavarian to the language list, per a user request
- Added more rules to handle malformed URLs better
- Added the password reset page. You'll see a link to this in the login box. It should be working. I did a bit of testing and wasn't running into any issues with it, but if anyone uses it and it breaks for whatever reason, let me know.

Hey guys, I know this is not going to sound believeable, seeing that i sound like Sirius Black trying to make everone believe him and what not, but can you please make a password retrieval system thing because I seem to have lost my password to my account as AyoDftba. if you don't believe me, then ask me any question. What kind of person doesn't know them self?
P.S. If you think that I'm just going to look at old discussion page entries, I have not made an entry that is longer than a sentence in a LONG TIME.

AyoDftba

Site Updates 2014/2/2
I made some pretty big changes to the code. No new features have been added, though. As the site has grown, the code base has gotten a little nonsensical in places, so I wanted to take some time to clean that up a bit.
I've done some testing and I believe everything is working properly, but let me know if you run into any issues. I should be able to get back to adding features / fixing bugs now.

I'm going to reply to a bunch of these threads in this message, to lessen the number of emails sent out - by the way, could there be a "Daily Digest" sort of thing?
In re (am I using that correctly?) the keyboard shortcut (#467-9)... Either of non sequitur's suggestions ({ and }, - and =) would work with me; I am managing to avoid using [ and ] accidentally, though sometimes I forget.
About the transcription page (#456-7): I forgot to add, perhaps we should add within this blurb that if a video from a schedule has not been transcribed in, say, four weeks, then said schedule will be cleared by an admin. I don't know, I'm trying to make it more relevant and reliable... does anybody else have ideas?
About the wiki entries: I'm finding that a lot of the articles have URLs directly pasted into the text box... a part of me wants to go through all of them and make them clickable hyperlinks for the relevant sections of the article... but then again, space conservation doesn't seem to be a problem, it might just be a "looking-nice" thing. Does this even merit discussion?
Oh, to people editing the Project for Awesome livestream transcripts... well, first, a word of thanks. But I was also wondering if you could include links to the featured P4A videos in the places where John/Hank/whomever is watching them. Would this even be feasible, to hunt down two-year-old videos by searching YouTube?
How do you think Crash Course categories should be grouped? Should it be split up Hank/John, or by season? Does it need to be split up at all?
That should be it - thanks!

- and = would actually work a lot better than - and +, because the main issue with the latter was that the shift key is needed for +, which is kind of awkward to use in a hurry.
I'm thinking that maybe a better way of co-ordinating multiple users on the same schedule, rather than the notes at the top of the vidoes, would be to have a schedule-specific discussion board similar to the ones on the language pages. This wouldn't have to be for each individual schedule, just on the main video schedule page, so that users don't have to go through and check different vidoes for notes. I'm not sure how difficult that would be to code though/how much time kitchensink108 or anyone else who edits the site (does anyone else?) has to make updates.
About the P4A vidoes, in some places they name the person who made the video, so here it would be fairly easy to go through and find one, but a lot of the time they just mention the charity, or what the charity does. In parts like this it probably won'[t be possible to find a link.
I agree that that would make the entries look much more organised, but it just depends on whether you have the time to go through and change them for all of them, because it's not really an issue I don't think.
The main problem I'm having with the P4A videos is whenever people's usernames are mentioned I have no idea how to spell them or search them up. Should I still put a flag here or just leave it?
I think that season would make more sense, as we already have categories for World History, English Literature etc. and Biology, Chemistry etc., so people can already easily find videos from a specific person.

Site Updates 2014/1/26
- Moved the preferences form to its own page. It was getting too crowded to display in a popup box.
- Added a preference to receive emails from administrators.
- Added a preference to receive email notifications for new private messages.

Site Updates 2014/1/27
- Added a new keyboard shortcut. Hitting the equals key (=) should now insert an LRC-style timestamp code. This is for doing time transcripts, which is mostly matters for non-English translations of transcripts.
- Tab
- Backslash
- Left bracket / Right bracket
- Equals
non sequitur on 2014 Jan 28 10:38
Maybe using these brackets {} instead of these brackets [] would be a quick fix for the shortcuts issue? It's just people don't use those brackets as much, so hopefully they wouldn't accidentally skip forward so much. It might be a little harder to use them though, because you have to use the shift key. I was thinking perhaps plus and minus, but that has the same problem.
