Manager John Green, Bald John Green, and Other John Green all came over to the FIFA 16 AFC Wimbledon Wimbly Womblys in their TARDIS. They joined Wimbledon in the 2015-2016 season in League 2.

In their first season, 2015-2016, the Wimbly Womblys played in League Two, the fourth tier of English professional football. They came second in the league, being beaten by Plymouth Argyle. That same season they also won the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
