A channel featuring videos varying from 10 to 15 minutes in length that focus on specific topics under the general areas of science, literature, and history. Originally, the history and English courses were taught by John Green while the sciences are hosted by Hank Green. As the channel has expanded, they have brought in more specialized hosts such as Phil Plait for astronomy, Jacob Clifford and Adriene Hill for economics, Stan Muller for Intellectual Property, and Craig Benzine for U.S. government and politics. DVD versions of early Crash Course series are available from DFTBA Records, although the videos will always remain online for free. A separate channel, Crash Course Kids for grade school students was also launched in early 2015. This is currently hosted completely by Sabrina Cruz and mostly covers the sciences.
