Finebros: We're going to show you a series of videos where the challenge is you can't smile or laugh while watching.

Felix: Why not?

Finebros: That's the whole point, it's a challenge. You laugh or smile you lose. Here we go.

Adande: Okay.

Hank: So I can't laugh -

Finebros: Or smile.

Hank: Or smile? /inhales, laughs/ Now I'm smiling already.

Justine: I'm gonna go to my dark place.

Shane: /cracks jaw/ Warming up the jaw.

Harley: (censored)

Justine: /inhales/ I have to take a deep breath.

Joe: This is really difficult, to not laugh at this.

Adande: Is this gonna be five minutes of this guy air humping?

Felix: I've seen this too many times to be funny.

Timothy: Nothing funny about that.

Twin 1 (Jack & Finn): I've cracked it. I've got the technique down. It's not getting me.

Harley: /laughs/

Timothy: Bro. Come on. Come on dawg.

Joe: /laughs/

Adande: I think I'm going to win this challenge.

Twin 1: /laughs/ He can't, that's insane. 

Twin 2: /laughs/

Felix: /laughs/

Finebros: /laughs/ So close! After it ended??

Felix: /laughs/ I don't know, I can't hold it.

Justine: I haven't laughed yet.

Hank: Oh is it Pewdiepie? You're gonna ask me to not laugh at Pewdiepie?

(Video #3: /laughter/)

Timothy: /chuckles/ How do you not smile at that, bro. It's a goat. It's a goat flyin' away.

(Video #3: /laughter intensifies/)

Jordan: Poor goat. He didn't deserve that.

Hank: It's always exceptionally hard not to laugh when somebody else is laughing, but even worse when it's Pewdiepie. I think I'm technically smiling right now. /laughs/ 

Finebros: Also, not Pewdiepie.

Hank: It's not Pewdiepie?

Finebros: But it's someone else that's Swedish.

Justine: What game is this?

Adande: What's making me want to smile is you guys holding in your laughter. If I just do this - /raises hand to face/

Jordan: I think I've heard that phrase before - ladder goat, you so random. 

Adande: /exhales/ Okay. That was a close one.

Adande: Oh no, oh no.

Justine: Oh no.

Shane: I'm in hell right now.

Adande: Okay.

Brittani: /laughs/

Adande: Okay, I think - I think that's a smile right there. How did this one get me though?

Jordan: What? What is that?

Finebros: You did it!

Jordan: Not funny.

Shane: I have no soul.

Justine: I didn't laugh a single time!

Finebros: It was close a couple times.

Justine: I know, I almost puked. /laughs/

(Question Time!)

Finebros: Did you find those videos funny?

Felix: Yeah, they were funny.

Adande: I actually did.

Joe: Hilarious, hilarious. I mean what was that guy trying to do on the wall. Like, how could that possibly have ended well?

Twin 2: The first one I've like, trained myself not to laugh at.

Twin 1: Which one was the first one? Oh, yeah yeah yeah yeah. That's old school, that's old school. I thought when I saw that I was like yeah you guys aren't gonna have us, but you got us.

Shane: I don't why it was funny to anybody - did anybody laugh at that?

Finebros: What did you think of the uh, ladder goat?

Timothy: Dude I just like goats, man. That's not fair.

Hank: We expect video games to obey the laws of physics but when they don't, it's amusing.

Twin 1: I wish things were that funny to me, like -

Twin 2: /laughs/

Twin 1: - if everything was that funny, life would be like a great place.

Joe: I want to find out what game that is just to find that goat so I can make it climb the ladder.

Jordan: Didn't seem all that funny. I guess it's interesting because that's the same sort of area as my videos.

Felix: A lot of people thought, like, when I was starting and didn't have my um, face-cam, people were like "Are you ladder goat?" Yeah he's like a, Swedish gamer. I actually made a video with him.

Finebros: Can you imitate one of the laughs you heard from the laughter chain video?

Justine: I almost lost it with that dude, he was like /makes laughing sounds/.

Hank: /makes laughing sounds/

Joe: /makes laughing sounds/

Harley: /makes laughing sounds/

Twin 1: /makes laughing sounds/

Twin 2: /laughs/

Timothy: /makes laughing sounds, laughs/

Finebros: Why is watching other people laugh something that makes people laugh?

Harley: I don't know, science, maybe?

Brittani: People that like, have a very specific laugh make you laugh.

Justine: You just see people laughing and are like I wanna be laughing and having fun too!

Twin 2: It's like when someone yawns you yawn. 

Twin 1: /laughs/ Yeah laughing is contagious, why is laughing contagious? There we go! See, we're getting the point right here.

Adande: Someone's like crying - When my friends start crying and they come to me like, "Dande /fake cries/," I'm just like, "I know girl, I know, he's - he's bad for you."

Finebros: What is the technique you tried to make yourself not laugh?

Felix: Well I failed pretty bad, so I guess I didn't have one.

Justine: Try to distract myself.

Hank: Just try to like hyper analyze things and think about them in a complicated way.

Jordan: By being myself. I have no sense of humor.

Twin 2: I found trying to shove a fist in my mouth -

Twin 1: Yeah you were doing that, you were really going for that. I was sucking my cheeks up.

Adande: Like I tell myself, "This is not funny, you are not going to laugh," so it's almost like mind over body.

Joe: Try and think of the most awful thing in the world. It's like, working at a theme park for ten years, for life.

Finebros: /laughs/ 

Brittani: Like think of something else, I was like, "Puppies, rainbows, biscuits, gravy -"

Finebros: What about dead puppies?

Brittani: Awww, oh too far. Oh now I'm sad!

Finebros: That would help! Why has the idea of a bet that you can watch without laughing become an online thing?

Hank: Well, ''cause we wanna laugh. And we wanna be made to laugh.

Harley: Watching isn't enough anymore. Let's make a challenge out of it. Let's make a game out of watching.

Jordan: I mean anything with the "try not to laugh" tied to it is probably going to be something uplifting. Why would you not want to watch something like that? And then there are gonna be the people like me who take a challenge very literally, and say, "I'm not laughing at this, no way."

Shane: Like that's something everybody would click on ''cause they're like, "Yeah I could (censored) not laugh at that!" And then, if you're like me don't, and you pat yourself on the back. 

Finebros: Does it feel good to succeed?

Shane: Feels actually really sad. ''cause you guys are asking me questions like, "Why didn't you laugh?" And then I'm like, "I don't know," and then I think about it in my head like, "Why am I not laughing, am I sad inside? Like am I just not having a good day?"

Finebros: Is there a video out there that just makes you laugh every time you see it?

Felix: Go bleh.

Harley: Go BWAH.

Hank: Washington.

Shane: Single Ladies Clown Dance?

Jordan: Pretty much everywhere, it's gonna be hot. 

Timothy: This dude getting a, getting frisked by a cop, and his pants are like sagging really low, and then the cop reaches around and he's like, he's like, "What's this?" And he's like, "That's uh, my penis," and he's like, "Op, that's your penis, alright, sorry." /laughs/ It's so funny.

Finebros: And finally, the most important question of all - why do we laugh anyway?

Brittani: Stress relief.

Shane: ''cause we're uncomfortable. /laughs, fake cries/ 

Harley: Ah, (censored) that's deep. That's really deep, why do we laugh - why do we cry? Why do we bleed? Hm? I don't know, basically that's what I'm trying to say.

Twin 1: Guys that's a deep question, write in the comments below why do we laugh, let's get the audience involved in this.

Adande: I think about that sometimes believe it or not, like when I'm laying in bed at night, staring up at my ceiling and I can't fall asleep I'm just like /whispers/, "laughing," /stops whispering/ like laughing, and I'm gonna die no matter what I do, I'm gonna die.

Jordan: It's obviously a natural response because even babies do it, and we haven't like, taught them, "Hey this is what you do when something is funny."

Hank: I don't know, and it's awesome. I think laughter is one of those things about people that makes us great. Famine, starvation, terrible, rape, terrible things, all over the place, but the fact that laughter is something that we start doing at like, twenty-four hours old... /shrugs/ It's nice.
