Lily Gladstone: I mean, crashcoursecoin.com. That's awesome alliteration. I might make that a vocal warm-up for the next time I have to go on camera. Crashcoursecoin.com. Until May 29th.
Hi, I'm Lily Gladstone, and I'm the host of Crash Course: Film Production. And recently, I got to come back to Crash Course to host an episode of Native American History honouring Indigenous women.
And I'm so happy to be back today as a member of the Crash Course family to read some of the comments.
I'm gonna do it. Gonna do it. Gonna dive into the comment section. Hopefully it's nice.
Here we go!
"I knew this would be an emotional video, but I didn't realise how emotional. I'm bawling my eyes out. Thank you, Lily, for sharing with all of us."
I'm gonna guess you're talking about the Indigenous women's episode.
That level of representation, I know, makes me feel really emotional. A lot of times, yeah, makes me feel like bawling my eyes out, hearing about who we are on a platform like Crash Course, which means so much to me. A little bit hard to articulate how much it means to me.
All right. This is from Amon K.
"Education is the most potent equaliser in existence. Many factors of luck impact our starting circumstances, but good education can empower those who otherwise do not have much systematic power. I think Crash Course is one of the best resources created to democratise learning."
Oh my God. [Chef's kiss]
This is one of the biggest reasons that I just jump at every chance I have to support Crash Course. I mean, it's such an honour to know that Crash Course is one of those places that you look. Thank you for your voice.
And last but not least, we got a comment from Jeremy T. "Education is critical to society."
Yes it is.
"I appreciate Crash Course providing so much completely free content that anyone in the world can access, covering a wide range of important topics."
It’s astounding to me just the breadth that Crash Course covers, and most importantly, that it makes itself accessible and free.
Crash Course is such a valuable, valuable — I want to say tool, but it's more than that. It's a community. It's a community of those of us who make it.
And it's you. It's you, the audience who tune in, who engage in the comments, who share the videos, who share what Crash Course brings into this world and all of the good that it does.
And if you're feeling it too, if you're feeling the need to continue to support trustworthy and accessible free education, maybe consider supporting Crash Course.
One way you can do that right now is by buying a Crash Course Coin. They're available until May 29th at CrashCourseCoin.com.
