The way light behaves can seem very counter intuitive, and many physicists would agree with that, but once you figure out light waves it all starts to make more sense! In this episode of Crash Course Physics, Shini shows us how we know that light exists as a wave and why that's really cool!

Here's a question for you: If you shine a light on a coin that's hanging in mid-air, what do you think its shadow will look like? Do you think its shadow would have a bright spot of light right in the middle of it? Because it would! It might be counterintuitive, and in the 19th-century physicists thought so too, when they tried this experiement.
