This is a ferris wheel from an abandoned socialist theme park in what was, until recently, East Germany.
Both my computer and my camcorder are broken. I made this with my phone and iMovie, like it's 2007 again or something.
This ferris wheel hasn't had a motor in more than a decade; it's former owner is in prison for attempting to smuggle cocaine from Peru to Germany inside a carnival ride.
and yet all these years later, the ferris wheel still spins, powered only by the wind, creaking like it contains lost souls.
I am reminded of the great Robert Frost quote: 'In three words I can summarize everything I've learned about life: it. goes. on.'"
