So you know how you've told me in the past not to get involved in something. And then I do anyway and it gets messy for awhile but then it all invariably turns out for the best? Hey! It worked out pretty well for you didn't it? And Ed and Clara seem to be glitching along quite nicely. Well, they were. Until Mayor Parker decided to get involved, and his kind of meddling I can not condone.

Griff: Domino call my poor brother.
Beau: What are you calling to gloat about now?
Griff: Gloat? Me? I just wanted to check in. See how you were doing. I worry about you brother. After all, I heard you got into some trouble today at the bank.
Beau: Wasn't any trouble. I just have a couple more forms to fill out and then I can start filing all my permits. For a town devoted to attracting more businesses, they sure require a lot of paper work.
Griff: I'm so pleased you are learning to sign your name.
Beau: OK. Nice talking to you Sis. Now if you won't mind, I'm going to go back to stealing this ice cream shops Wi-Fi for less annoying purposes.
Griff: Wait. I just want to show you one thing -
Mayor Parker: Knock knock
Griff: - and I am muting you. No one needs to hear your screams of frustration. Mr Mayor thank you for coming.
Mayor Parker: Well I am always happy to stop by when one of Sanditon's newest and biggest businesses calls. And you remember my assistant Edward Denham.
Ed: Hello. I was playing cam-bot the last time we were here.
Griff: I remember. It is good to see you both. Although this is more of a one person job Mayor Parker. I just wanted to give you this. It is every permit and building application Spin Cycle needs to get up and running. And our credit line with Denham Savings and Loan is approved and ready to go.
Mayor Parker: Wow I like your diligence. Oh we have a lot of forms don't we.
Ed: Yeah... For a second I thought it was the next manuscript for a Game of Thrones novel.
Griff: Haha! George and I go way back. He throws everything by me first.
Ed: You do?
Griff: Oh yeah.
Mayor Parker: Hey Ed. The Forth of July Festival is coming up
Ed: Yup.
Mayor Parker: You don't have a date do you?
Ed: Um. No.
Mayor Parker: Oh great! Then you can escort Ms. Griffiths. As an important member of the business community we want to show her the best of what Sanditon has to offer. Now I would do it myself but Mary and I are hosting cousin Sydney for the holiday. You two have so much in common.
Ed: I..I..Bu...Uh
Mayor Parker: Okay well then it's a date. I am going to leave you two so you can get to know each other better.
Griff: You had plans didn't you?
Ed: No uh uh not at all uh. I would be delighted to escort you at the Forth of July Festival.
Griff: If you insist. I'll see you at six.
Ed: Uh right. Um why is your brother yelling on your computer?

Gigi: What was the mayor thinking? And what was Ed thinking? Ugh and what must Clara be thinking? Ugh if I could just reach back in time to yesterday and -
Oh gosh uh Domino answer call!

Hey Clara. Oh my gosh are you okay?

Clara: Um yeah. I was just calling to let you know that craft night is cancelled this week. I just have way to much to do before the fourth. Why wouldn't I be okay?
Gigi: No reason.
Clara: Would it have to do with the fact that Ed is taking the new Spin Gym owner Griff to the festival?
Gigi: How did you know about that?
Clara: The mayor is in here gloating about it. He seems very eager for Ed to meet new people.
Gigi: Is there anything I can do? We could hang out. Girl time with bad movies and ice cream?!
Clara: Ice cream is literally the last thing I need. Besides you have that grad school thing you have to work on.
Gigi: It can wait. Especially if Ed is being a jerk.
Clara: He's not being a jerk. He just needs to stop letting other people make his decisions for him.
Gigi: Have you told him that?
Clara: I can't force him to run his life. And it's kinda counter productive if he just replaces his aunt or the mayor with me. He needs to work this out on his own. And I should run my own life. So I think that some bad movies would be really good right now.
Gigi: In that case I will be right over. See you in a few.
