Quentin: As senior year drew to a close I threw myself into my classes. I just had to graduate, go off to college. And it almost worked out that way.
John: Paper Towns is a story about a boy named Quentin Jacobsen who has grown up in love with his neighbor Margo Roth Spiegelman. And suddenly after ten years of basically not speaking to each other they spend this crazy night out.
Margo: Shh.
Quentin: Margo?
Margo: I need to borrow your car.
Quentin: What?
Margo: I have nine thing I need to do tonight.
Quentin: Can't you just get your boyfriend to do it?
Margo: Ex-boyfriend.
Quentin: Not as weird as it looks.
Cashier: Still weird.
(Margo blows air horn)
Quentin: Stop.
Margo: My boyfriend has been cheating on me.
Margo: Now. OK, now that was fun.
Quentin: I can feel my heart beating in my chest.
Margo: That is the way you should feel your whole life.
John: The next morning Margo disappears.
Nat: She leaves these little clues for him.
Ben: I think she's sending you a message - Come find me.
John: I wanted it to be a story about love, like all the kinds of love, romance and love between friends.
Quentin: I think I know where she might be.
Halston: We just all love this story so much. We just want to bring everyone to life as best we can.
Nat: Truth is is that if you look at anything from afar it's gonna look two dimensional. And then when you get inside anybody's world it's super complicated.
