Truth! The narrator of my first novel Looking for Alaska memorizes the last words of famous people, and one of his favorites is John Sedgewick's. He was trying to get the men on his line to be more courageous, and he was like, "Come out here guys, they couldn't hit an elephant at this dist-" at which point he was shot in the head.
There's a similar story actually from the Spanish-American War in which an American solider said, "Sergeant, the Spanish bullet is not made that can kill me," where upon the Spanish bullet that was made that could kill him..killed him.

Fact Two: When literally translated, the German word (Sitzpinkler) means a man who sits to pee.
