Alex: What's up?
Emma: You know, you look really good today.
Alex: I do?
Emma: Absolutely, and with a few minor adjustments you could be one handsome man Mr. Knightley.
Alex: What do you mean minor adjustments?
Emma: Well maybe some product in your hair, fresh shave, and some makeup wouldn't hurt.
Alex: Makeup?
Emma: And nothing is more charming than a man in a suit.
Alex: Why am I wearing a suit?
Emma: Because Mr. Knightley the time has come.
Alex: Time for what?
Emma: Time for your big date!
Alex: hehe, no way!
Emma: Alex, The photographer's waiting!
Alex: Just because we're hosting the auction doesn't mean I need to be in it!
Emma: But you're a catch! Bachelor of the year.
Alex: Not doing it.
Emma: Frank's doing it.
Alex: Oh, okay well that convinced me. What are we waiting for?
Emma: Come on! This will be good for our business! Get some PR. Get our faces out there.
Alex: That is your job, Miss Shower-of-Faces.
Emma: Okay, okay. Believe it or not it is really difficult to find single, eligible men to participate. And the success of this auction depends on it!
Alex: This success depends on me.
Emma: If you don't do this, you are sentencing innocent people to a lifetime of slavery.
Alex: Haha, seems a bit dramatic.
Emma: You owe me. Remember our bet?
Alex: Fine.
Emma: Right, but now we're even.

Emma: So the auction is in a few weeks, and today I've arranged a little photo shoot for the catalog. But, you'd think from the way some people are reacting I was asking them to donate a kidney. It's not totally superficial! The catalog includes a bio with educational background, job description, personal interests. But, what we're offering is a package so photos are a must. Nobody wants to bid sight-unseen. Still, it doesn't matter how much they resist, I am very persuasive. One down, one to go.

Emma: Ready?
Jane: Right now? I thought it was Alex's turn?
Emma: Greatness waits for no one.
Jane: I have a lot of calls to make. I'm trying to get us a sponsor for the gift bags.
Emma: Give it to Harriet! It's photo shoot time.
Jane: I'd rather make the calls myself. Can't you just use an old picture?
Emma: Definitely not! Having your photos taken especially for this auction will show how important and exclusive this event is. Don't you want to look your best?
Jane: I think it's more important we spend our time focusing on human rights, not human trafficking.
Emma: It's not human trafficking! Why does everyone keep saying that?
Jane: Emma, We're literally selling ourselves to the highest bidder!
Emma: They're not paying for what you look like! They're paying for what you know, what you've done, and maybe some business advice.
Jane: Then why do I need my picture taken?
Emma: It's just gift wrapping on a present. Presentation is important.
Jane: So now I'm a gift.
Emma: We're all gifts. It'd be quick and painless I promise.
Jane: Some how I doubt that. I have a lot of work to do.
Emma: I wonder how you get anything done on this dinosaur. Didn't Harriet order you a new computer?
Jane: This works fine! And we have better things to spend money on.
Emma: Like raising money for the greater good. So, ready for your closeup?
Jane: I didn't bring anything to change into.
Emma: I have a selection of dresses in your size.
Jane: Of course you do.
Emma: They're super cute and green. Just remember, it's for a good cause.
Jane: Fine, fine I'll do it. For the cause.

Emma: Ha ha, it's like pulling teeth. But, now we are back on track and everything is going according to schedule. Alex is trying on suits; Jane is in hair and makeup; and Frank will be here any minute. All in a days work for Emma Woodhouse.

Alex: Why can't I wait in my office?
Emma: Because you'll get all distracted and stressed, and who wants a picture of that? Just relax, Jane will be done any minute. Just think happy thoughts.
Alex: Oh, I am. I'm picturing when this is all over.
Emma: Oh come on!
Alex: Did the photographer break his camera?
Emma: Frank can't make it. He wanted to get his hair cut before the shoot, but his stylist doesn't have anything available till later this afternoon.
Alex: Seriously? Why doesn't he just go somewhere else or not get his hair cut?
Emma: Well, men like Frank are very particular about their stylists.
Alex: That's unbelievable.
Emma: Actually, particularity begets a higher life quality.
Alex: No! This was all his idea. I'm wearing lip gloss, and he gets a free pass because he's getting his hair cut? You know what? I'm going to go back to my office to get some actual work done. Give me a call when you're ready.
