Emma: Today I would like to talk about Karma. I believe that when you do good things for other people, good things happen in return. And that's what's happening at Emma Approved right now! After the success that was Maddie Bates' benefit, we've been receiving messages from so many potential clients. And, yes nothing is closed as of yet, but I have faith. These things take time. A little charm, a little wining and dining. And I am Emma Woodhouse and our next client is just around the corner! 
Senator Elton: Good morning Emma. 
*Opening theme* 
Emma: Uh, Senator Elton, how did you get in here?  
Senator Elton: Oh I used the back door. And I'm happy to see you too. May I come in? 
Emma: Uh sure. What are you doing here? 
Senator Elton: As it was the last time I came through these doors I am acquiring of your services. 
Emma: You want me to find you a wife? Again
Senator Elton: Haha no. We both know that is not your strong suit. Instead, I need you to plan an event. 
Emma: An event? 
Senator Elton: You love planning events. I heard great things about the most recent one for Ms. Bates.
Emma: Oh it was nothing.
Senator Elton: Was it? 
Emma: So what's the event? 
Senator Elton: And engagement party. 
Emma: Okay. For who?
Senator Elton: Me of course. 
Emma: No, I mean who is getting married? 
Senator Elton: I am 
Emma: What? 
Senator Elton: I can see your surprise we've only told a few close friends and family. But regardless, I want you to plan the celebration of our engagement. 
Emma: Are you sure that's a good idea? 
Senator Elton: I'm aware of how quick it seems but when you know, you know.
Emma: No, I mean me planning this event. 
Senator Elton: Absolutely! You are great at what you do Emma Woodhouse. And when I know, I know. 
Emma: So, who is she?
Senator Elton: Mmm, she is incredible. I mean beautiful, intelligent, highly educated, ambitious, and from a good family.
Emma: Sounds like you found quite the accomplished woman.
Senator Elton: Indeed. I've heard many people comment on how well we suit each other. 
Emma: She sounds truly remarkable. 
Senator Elton: I can't wait for her to get here! So you two can meet. 
Emma: Wait, she's coming here? Now?
Senator Elton: She should be here by now. Oh must be traffic. Excuse me while I make sure she's okay. She's not fond of driving. Sweetheart can you here me?
Alex: Why is the back door open? 
Emma: Because, Senator Elton is engaged. 
Alex: Senator James Elton?
Emma: How many Senator Elton's do you know? 
Alex: Wow, that was fast! So, who is the lucky- I mean who is the woman? 
Emma: A model of virtue apparently. 
Alex: What does this have to do with the back door?
Emma: Because he is here. 
Alex: He is?
Emma: Catch up faster! Please! 
Alex: Uh, And? 
Emma: And he wants me to plan his engagement celebration! Can you believe that?
Alex: Okay that's- wait is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Emma: What do you think it is?
Alex:A good thing. Actually kind of a remarkable thing. You obviously don't agree. 
Emma: I don't want to help him celebrate the fact that he found a more suited woman. 
Alex: More suited than you? 
Emma: NO! Harriet. 
Alex: Ugh. Here we go. Fine. But what do you think happens if we turn him down again? 
Emma: Ugh, he'll think I cared about what happened.
Alex: And do you care about what happened?
Emma: NO! Senator Elton has no power over me. 
Alex: Okay, then what exactly is the problem?
Emma: I just don't want to see his face.
Alex: So mature Emma, so very mature.
Senator Elton: She's parking.
Alex: Senator Elton, good to see you here. Congratulations are in order. 
Senator Elton: Thank you Alex. I feel extremely blessed. 
Alex: Emma was telling me you want us to plan you engagement party.
Senator Elton: Yes. My fiance and I think very, very highly of Emma's event work.
Emma: Speaking of which you never told us how you two met. 
Senator Elton: Oh it's a long story...
Emma: Really a long story that spans the time of three months.
Senator Elton: Well, it's better if she's here to...
Caroline Lee: James?
Senator Elton: Oh, here she comes.
