Emma: Emma Woodhouse here, and the flashiest, most beneficial fundraiser we have ever thrown is only a day away. I have to say, this expansion of Emma Approved's business strategy is already paying off. Sure, redirecting our efforts at bettering the world was a bit uncertain, but so far, we are making it happen. So, even though our business is growing and benefits are happening, I can say that most of all, humanity will be better.
(Emma Approved Intro Song)
Emma: Through all of this there is an important lesson to take away, if you want big results you need to make big moves.
Frank: You're going to win big at the benefit.
Emma: Frank! Shouldn't you be getting a last minute shave, or trim, or even a wax?
Frank: You'll never let me live that down, will you?
Emma: Not a chance.
Frank: I worry about woman who's memory is as good as yours.
Emma: I worry about your memory, I think you forgot your joie de vivre at home.
Frank: I know where I left it, but I'm afraid I won't be needing it today.
Emma: Oh no, I sense some bad news coming. Are you going ice fishing again?
Frank: Unfortunately you're more right than you think.
Emma: In this case I wish I wasn't right. Where are you going?
Frank: One of our investors is getting cold feet and he's starting to pull out unless we have a meeting in person right away, in Berlin.
Emma: When do you leave?
Frank: Today actually, my flights at four.
Emma: Well what about the auction?
Frank: If I don't go it could cost us much more than I could ever bring in as a bachelor.
Emma: You don't know that. They haven't seen you and your new haircut.
Frank: Believe me, I would much rather be here to see you blow Jane FairFax's bid right out of the water.
Emma: This is not a competition, we are raising money for human rights remember?
Frank: Of course, but you still must promise to tell me how much better you do.
Emma: You should thank Jane for doing this before you go, I know she...
Frank: I actually stopped into her office on the way to yours. But, only to check on the new hardware.
Emma: Well it's still there, taunting me.
Frank: Emma, I've been really impressed at your intuition. Uh, with your clients you seem to instinctually know what's wrong, and how to fix it. With Annie and Ryan's wedding you knew the impact my absence would have, and with Maddy, you knew that she needed business help, I wonder if you know what I need.
Emma: What you need?
Frank: Yes, there's something missing from my life, and I think you might know what it is.
Emma: (Takes deep breath) I know you're missing a watch, and if you don't leave soon you'll miss your flight.
Frank: As usual, you're right. I didn't realize how late it was.
Emma: You have a business to save.
Frank: I will very much miss your coffee, it's just not the same anywhere else.
Emma: I promise to save some for when you return.
Frank: Assuming I'll be back. I might not be welcome.
Emma: (Laughs) Don't be silly, you are always welcome. The auction will survive without you.
Frank: Until we meet again, Emma Woodhouse.
Emma: Goodbye, Frank Churchill.
(Takes deep breath) Holy Oprah! What just happened!? Since when does Frank Churchill have trouble getting words out? I don't know what that was, but I think Frank was about to ask me out? Or something like that. Something's missing in his life!? He was going to say that I'm the person missing from it. It does kind of make sense, what rattles Frank Churchill? (Gasps) Emma Woodhouse.
Mmmmm, but I don't know how I feel! Do I like him? I don't know! I mean he's a charming, and fun, and smart, and exciting to be around.
Does that mean I love him? Or like him? Intuition, where are you? Ahh I can't hear you at all!
Annie: Are you on the phone?
Emma: Annie! No! I was just... nevermind.
Annie: Are you okay? You look flustered.
Emma: You will not believe the day I just had. I have so much to tell you.
Annie: I have so much to tell you too.
Emma: You do? What is it? You first.
Annie: Well I didn't want to say anything until I was sure but... you're going to be an aunt, again.
Emma: What! You're pregnant!?
Annie: Yup, two and a half months along, I couldn't wait any longer to tell you.
Emma: Oh my gosh! I'm so happy for you and Ryan!
Annie: Oh and for you too Auntie Em.
Emma: I can't believe it...
Annie: I can't either.
Emma: No, I can't believe you kept a secret from me for two and a half whole months! Annie!?
Annie: Hey! I didn't even know myself that whole time.
Emma: Two and a half months, we are best friends, we tell each other everything.
Annie: Speaking of, what news do you have for me?
Emma: Oh. It's not important.
Annie: Emma, best friends tell each other everything.
Emma: Well if you must know, um, you were dead wrong about Alex and Jane!
Annie: What did you do?
Emma: Nothing. I just got proof.
Annie: How?
Emma: I asked Alex.
Annie: Really? Nothing between them?
Emma: Nope. You were way off.
Annie: Oh no, what did I lose?
Emma: Your firstborn.
Annie: Emma? That's...
Emma: (Laughing) I'm joking.
Annie: So, tomorrow, how's it coming? It's going to be pretty exciting, right?
Emma: Not as much as it could have been now that your brother-in-law has to be taken off the block.
Annie: Why? What happened to Frank?
Emma: He's leaving for Germany right now. He had to save a big deal from falling through.
Annie: Oh Emma, I'm so sorry. Please don't be mad at him, you know how excited he was about the auction. I'm sure he feels terrible about leaving.
Emma: Annie it's fine, I'm not mad at him.
Annie: Oh, you're not?
Emma: No.
Annie: Good. Because you know who would make a really cute couple?
Emma: Don't start.
Annie: What? I didn't say anything about you and Frank.
Emma: That's enough matchmaking, future mama Weston. Let's get you some decaf tea.
Annie: I thought you had work to do.
Emma: I do. But there's time for a little celebratory toast.
Annie: Look at you, taking such good care of everyone. (Gasps) You know who could use someone to take care of him?
Emma: Annie, stop it.
Annie: What? You know you think he's hot.
