Emma: I'm sure you're wondering what happened with Izzy and John, and I don't have all the details, and, despite what some people think, I don't have cameras everywhere. But what I do know is, after a long talk, the family vacation took place in neither Joshua Tree nor Hawaii. Instead, the Knightleys went back home to look for colleges in their area.
I am very, very proud of my sister. And of John. Once he listened to what Izzy had to say, he stood by her one hundred percent. Those Knightley boys take a little training, but the end result is worth it. I am Emma Woodhouse and Izzy Knightley, you're my hero.
(intro)
I am very proud to announce that my slump is over! It's a new year and time for a new client streak. Emma Woodhouse, one for one. Hey, it's a start. And this time I'll be bigger, faster, stronger... harder... With Harriet and Alex supporting me, nothing can stop me now.
Harriet: I'm sorry; Emma – this just came for you. It's from your brother-in-law.
Emma: Oh, yay! I love thank you gifts.
Harriet: What is it?
Emma: It is a gift certificate for Krav Maga lessons.
Harriet: The Israeli martial art?
Emma: Very John Knightley, it's the thought that counts. The point is that John and Izzy are happy.
Harriet: I'm so glad everything worked out between them. They seem really great together.
Emma: They always were, and I think they'll come out stronger together because this. Every time life disappoints you, but you persevere and overcome, you learn more about yourself. And if you're lucky, you discover you're even more than you ever thought you could be.
Harriet: Like Izzy!
Emma: Like you. I'm really proud you too, Harriet.
Harriet: You are?
Emma: You've been through a lot, and you're handling it better than most people would. And I saw you brought a certain musical instrument into the office today?
Harriet: Oh. My ukulele.
Emma: Yes, your ukulele. So you're playing again?
Harriet: Actually, I have practice tonight.
Emma: Practice?
Harriet: I was looking for groups to join, like you said, but I couldn't really find any, so I decided to form my own.
Emma: Harriet, that's amazing! Go you!
Harriet: So I started an online music club.
Emma: An online music club. That's surprisingly perfect.
Harriet: Not many people signed up so far. But our first practice is tonight.
Emma: What song are you going to practice?
Harriet: I was thinking one of my own.
Emma: Harriet Smith! You wrote a song!
Harriet: It's not any good, but-
Emma: Don't be ridiculous, I'm sure it's amazing. Can I hear it?
Harriet: I don't think it's ready to be heard quite yet. I'm still working out all the harmonies-
Emma: You never know unless you try.
Harriet: Okay. Okay! I'll be right back.
Emma: You sneaky Harriet! Don't you know you can't keep secrets from Emma Woodhouse?
Alex: Oh really?
Emma: Yes, really.
Alex: Actually, that's probably true. I think the issue is Emma Woodhouse keeping secrets from everyone else or - at least from me.
Emma: I don't mean to.
Alex: I know you don't. But, we've really got to work on our communication. It would save us from so much. Just... so much.
Emma: Thank you for making that clear. Good job communicating.
Alex: You know what I mean.
Emma: Yes. I know and I agree. Was there anything else?
Alex: Just one more thing. You were the one who saw that there was something wrong with Izzy - I didn't see it. John didn't see it. It was just you.
Emma: Well, she's my sister. And I am... Emma Woodhouse.
Alex: And that's my point. You cared enough to get involved. You are good at this, Emma Woodhouse. You help people. You were born to do this, so don't ever give up.
Emma: I don't know what to say...
Alex: Good job communicating.
Emma: Shut up.
Harriet: Emma! Should I come back later?
Emma: Are you ready?
Harriet: I-I think. Yes. I am.
