[intro plays]
Clara: I was talking with Robin the other day---Oh! Robin Worth who runs the library---and we were discussing town institutions and how easy it is for places we have grown up with to just disappear, overnight!
Robin can tell you how important the library is to social life in Sanditon. It's not that I'm saying change is bad. Change is vital, and, new things can surprise you, in ways you never expected. But, uh, sometimes you have to fight to keep the things you want. Sometimes you have to counter spreadsheets and projections and plans with the undeniable evidence of what you bring to the town.
So, for Robin, and everybody who is trying to keep in touch with the things that have made Sanditon the place we all love, it is time to bring out the heavy artillery.
That's right! Nobody can deny the power of brownies.
And, you can make this recipe with whatever brownies you like. Homemade, or from a mix. If you do use a mix, follow the directions for fudgy brownies. Because fudge invalidates all arguments.
You will also need some ice cream. This is what I'm working on for this week's special flavor. I call it New Orleans Vanilla, which is a lot like French Vanilla but with more sass, but use what you like!
And then, caramel sauce. I've got butterscotch caramel here. And then some chopped nuts.
So, first make sure that your brownies have completely cooled. Then you simply spread some of your caramel sauce on top of one. Sprinkle it with the nuts, place your ice cream on top and then . . . make a sandwich.
Put on some more sauce and nuts if you like, and voila! As a . . . friend of mine would say, "Now, witness the firepower of this fully operational brownie sandwich!"
Mmmm. Seriously, how could anybody withstand this?
