Gigi: Okay, William, I know I'm only supposed to be here as an observer, but if there's one thing that Domino has revealed to me, it's that if I want things to happen I need to get involved. And, hey, I think that's the kind of initiative that a certain grad school would want to see, right? So first thing this morning, that's what I did!

Domino, call Tom Parker.

[phone rings]

Tom: Miss Darcy. It has been too long. How can I help you today?

Gigi: Um, Mr. Mayor, I wasn't expecting to get through.

Tom: I am never too busy to take a call from you. What's on your mind?

Gigi: Mr. Mayor, why have you spent the last three weeks lying to me?

Tom: What do you mean?

Gigi: I mean that nothing on this map actually exists. 

Tom: Gigi, I told you that Sanditon is a town in transition and transition takes time.

Gigi: Pemberley Digital came to Sanditon to see how Domino interacts with a real community. All you're using it for is to sell a fiction.

Tom: You don't think Sanditon is a real community? I'm real, my sisters are real, Clara Breton is certainly real. But this is a good town full of good people. Where exactly is the invention?

Gigi: The invention is that Clara is running a juice bar! 

Tom: Okay, I see, so the invention that you accuse me of is what most people would call the future. Well, I don't know how things are done at Pemberley Digital, Miss Darcy, but here the future hasn't arrived quite yet.

Gigi: Mr. Parker, I didn't mean---

Tom: If you'll excuse me, I have to go make the future happen.

Gigi: Domino, re-dial Tom Parker. 

[phone rings]

Automated Message: Record your message after the tone. *Beep.*

Gigi: Ugh, really?! Domino, call Edward Denham. 

[phone rings]

Ed: Hey, Gigi, what's up?

Gigi: Hi, Ed. I was talking to your boss a little while ago and he hung up on me.

Ed: Did you imply that he had been less than forthcoming about the state of New Sanditon?

Gigi: Umm, I didn't so much imply as I came right out and said it. 

Ed: Oh! That explains things. 

[beep]

Gigi: Explains what?

Ed: You should probably get that. I can hold.

Gigi: Okay, hang on a sec.  Domino, answer call. Hi Clara.

Clara: Hi, Gigi. Would you tell Ed that if he doesn't leave my store right now, I'm calling the police!

Gigi: Uh, hang on a second.

Ed: Hi, Gigi. Could you please tell Clara that I'm here on the Mayor's orders, and I'm not leaving until she agrees to become a juice bar!

Clara: Mmm!

Gigi: You're occupying Sanditon Scoops?

Clara: This is completely illegal.

[talking all at once]
Clara: I am calling my lawyer, the ACLU, the Better Business Bur---shut me down?! Ooh!
Ed: You know Tom has let you slide on inspections for years, you're lucky he doesn't shut you down!
Gigi: Guys!

Clara: I would like to see him try. I built this shop out of nothing and you can pry my scoop from my cold dead hands. 
Ed: Oh, inspections! Back taxes! Mail fraud! I am the good cop here! [?]

Gigi: Domino! End call!

So I guess we got a window into the real Sanditon. That's a good thing, right?
