Savannah: You can develop asthma from sex. Now, there's something called "exercise-induced asthma," which is where you get wheezy and have all those fun asthma symptoms after exerting yourself, and yes, that can happen after any such activity - even sex - in which case, it's called "sexercise-induced asthma." But there's another kind of postcoital asthma that happens in people who don't have symptoms from regular exercise. This one is sometimes called "honeymoon asthma" and researchers think it has to do with the chemicals your body releases when you have sex.
High levels of acetylcholine have been linked to the honeymoon asthma, so good news is that pharmacotherapy - like taking corticosteroids or other asthma drugs - can return you to a healthy sex life. Literally.
