In which John gives an update on the remainder of the football season for the Swoodilypoopers.
Hello and welcome to Hankgames without Hank. My name is John Green and I'm here today with an update to the overall situation of the Swindon Town Swoodilypoopers so that you can understand what's going on here on April 20th 2014 as we approach the very end of the season.

First off, I want to give you a sense of our current budget situation. Right now we have $2,500,000 in the bank. We just got $600,000 for our heroic defeat of Sevilla, um, so that budget split looks crazy but that's because there's so much new money in the bank, um, since the middle of the season, since January. So yes, that is very very good. We have two and a half million dollars more than we would have had going in to next season so hopefully our budget next season will be closer to, like, ten or twelve million dollars, um, which would be awesome. That would allow us to get, to get some, you know, a couple great players.

Now as for the season. As you can see over there on the right, Swindon Town are currently in sixth. Bald John Green is fourth among all scorers behind only some real titans in the game: C. Jerome and Tévez and then tied with Salomon Kalou and Louis Saha. Um, so that's where we are as far as that goes.

Now let me show you the calendar. This is vitally important. We have seven league games remaining. We play Manchester United next, that will not be easy. Then we play Manchester City, that will be even harder. Then we play Chelsea, also in the top four. Then we play Atlantica, Atalanta? I don't know, a Spanish team in the Euro League semi-finals. And then we play Liverpool, also in the top four. So that's right, we are playing all four top four teams in our next four league games. Then after that we will be playing Everton, a winnable game, Aston Villa, a winnable game, and Bolton, hopefully a winnable game. Bolton right now is in the drop zone.

So then if we go to Skysports.com I'll give you an overall sense of the league table right now. As I mentioned, we are in sixth. However, as you can see, we are only eight points away from first place Manchester City. We have these four games against the top four. If we win all four of those games, admittedly that would be unprecedented in the history of Swindon Town football, but if we somehow did that we would almost definitely move into that top four, particularly since we have a game... We actually don't have a game in hand over anybody but Tottenham so that doesn't do us any good.

But we... Basically those four games are going to be our season. If we can win even... If we can win two and draw two of those four games we have a very good chance in those last three games, if we can find a way to win two of those last three games, we have a very good chance to finish in the top four. So again, finishing in the top four is vital because the top four teams go to the Champions League. I have to say it's not impossible that we could win the league, it's very unlikely, but it's not impossible.

So that is where we stand. We are eight points out of first place and we are five points out fourth place. It's a very tightly bunched table there at the top. Then again, we are also, as you can see, only five points away from, you know, tenth. So it's all very bunched here at the top and we need to, we need to find a way to have a great end of the season. It's gonna be tough, our guys are tired but I believe in them. Thanks for watching, best wishes.
