Support Crash Course and Complexly....it's a non-profit now! https://complexly.info/CCcoin26-3
I feel so dumb. I just made this whole video on vlogbrothers. It's talking–the title is: “Why I left Crash Course” and it is about how I'm no longer the owner of Crash Course, why I decided I no longer want to be owner of Crash Course, and how if you buy a Crash Course Coin, it's now a tax-deductible donation. But I didn't say the thing that actually happened, which is that John and I donated Crash Course to a nonprofit organization. So there's a bunch of angry comments who are like, "You said you sold, but to who?" I'm so dumb! It's just I've been talking about it for so long. I just, like, this is the thing. You always think you–you can't reach a new person. It's so hard to remember that, like, if you get 200,000 views on one video and 200,000 on another video, those aren't the same 200,000 people. I feel so dumb. Who did I sell Crash Course to? Everyone for $0. And people are mad and they think that I've done something terrible. And I–should I take the video down? I left a–I pinned a comment. You can't edit YouTube videos was the rub(?~1:35). I don't know. It's just like we got to be more forgiving of each other. I said that the donations are tax-deductible. Do you think that that happened ‘cause private equity bought Crash Course? I don't know. I clearly–yes, I should have been clearer. I like–I cannot, like, I was–I couldn't believe it. I, like, watched the whole–I was like, “When do I say it? I must say it eventually” and I don't. I just don't say it. I don't know. I feel–I'm so freaked out. This is like a–I don't know.
Ok, let me know what you think I should do. Any of you want to buy a Crash Course Coin, they're tax-deductible now ‘cause we're a nonprofit. John and I gave away all of our equity to a nonprofit organization that now exists and that you can help fund. Ay ay ay, there's so many comments from people who are so mad.
