In which Hank tests your knowledge about everyone's favorite monster just in time for Halloween.
Hello and welcome, this is Truth or Fail. We are approaching Halloween and also the flesh eating undead have had something of a renaissance lately so we thought this would be a good time to talk about zombies. There's been a trove of great zombie content lately from 28 Days Later to Zombieland including, of course, season 2 of The Walking Dead coming out and the book that Brad Pitt is starring in an adaptation of that scared me so much I couldn't get past chapter 2, World War Z. True story, I couldn't finish it; really freaky, way too --ah just non-fiction fiction freaks me out. Even right here in my town of Missoula, Montana, only 60,000 people live here, we had a helicopter flying downtown filming a “surreality series” about zombies and making weapons to kill them with based on a local business called Zombie Tools, guess what they make. Now let’s do this!
Round number one: zombie holidays.
While we await the zombie apocalypse, us humans just have to sort of rely on re-enactments of what we think will happen when the zombie apocalypse appears and Halloween is a fantastic time to do this. The Guinness Book of World Records recently recognized last Halloween’s New Jersey zombie walk as the largest gathering of people being… pretending to be zombies walking down the street at around 4000 zombies.
OR
Fact number two: As celebrations go, true zombie historians recognize November 2nd, or the Day of the Dead, as the best time to dress up like a zombie and walk down the street in your hometown.
