Spinal manipulation for lower back pain turns out to be a thing. For a lot of reasond, MDs have been suspicious of chiropractors and other practitioners of spinal manipulation, but new studies indicate that spinal manipulation is as effective as other treatments for low back pain. It turns out, people really do get relief from these treatments. SO. For lower back pain, at least, maybe an adjustment is appropriate. Good luck getting your insurance to pay for it, though.
