Hank: We're ranking ridiculous exoplanets, because if you thought Earth was weird, just wait!
First, there's this place [HD 189733 b], which researchers think is so hot that it rains molten glass, sideways, at 9,000 km per hours, I just pulled something in my neck! [2/10 Made Hank Injure Himself]
Gliese 463 b has more of a normal name. Not a normal place! There's so much pressure here that it squeezes water into a form of ice which can exists at 400 degrees Celcius! Also, a year is three days long - that's not normal! [4/10 Not Normal]
Though it's better than WASP-12 b, which has year that is 1.1 days long. It's so close to its star that gravity actually pulls it into an egg shape. [3/10 Egg]
Finally, there's this place [HD 80606 b], which once a year, its atmosphere explodes. Every year, part of its orbit takes it super close to its star, and models suggest that its atmosphere gets so hot that it makes a shockwave that blasts around the planet at 18,000 km per hour. [6/10 Too Many Explosions]
Earth, if I ever said anything that offends you, I apologize; you are the wind beneath my wings.
