Good morning, John.
The 2025 Project for Awesome begins now. And half of the money we raise during the Project for Awesome is going to support the amazing work that is done by the people at Save the Children and Partners In Health. I don't know if I need to tell you right now that these organizations need support more now than they have in quite a while. Both of these organizations sometimes receive funding from USAID, both of them serve populations that are also served by USAID. I'm still saying that in the present tense but obviously right now USAID's funding has been interrupted and may remain that way for a long time so Save the Children and Partners In Health both have more work to do and less money to do it with. That's just the reality we're in right now.
Those of us who are able to give, there are many good reasons to give right now. There isn't anything these organizations do that isn't vitally important. Treating children for malnutrition, providing HIV treatment, supporting kids in war zones, decreasing maternal and infant mortality, responding to disease outbreaks. I am so proud that
our community supports these people and the work they do. And also, when you give stuff, you don't just help support that work, you also get cool stuff.
This year, we let a bunch of our special guests commission their own frogs from legendary frog artist page Tompkins. You can get the signed or a digital version in the digital download bundle which also has exclusive podcasts, videos, and other art, including my old magazine collages that I made a bunch of. You can also get prints of those collages and don't you know it, if you get one of those you get a 1 in 50 chance of getting one of the originals. But you can't pick which one and I know that you want to, but we're trying to keep things simple as far as the fulfillment goes.
I also edited together an hour-long compilation of crowdwork, improv, and stuff that ended up getting cut out of my comedy special, recorded in clubs all over the country, and that's also in the digital download bundle. But there's also a merch bundle and a flat merch bundle and there's also a Nerdfighter art and a pin and a coin and it's all available at projectforawesome.com/donate. Other ways to participate: You can vote on where half of the money raised during the Project for Awesome will go, you could find videos promoting charities and ways to vote at projectforawesome.com, and of course most of all, you can watch us have a good time, hang out with guests, and be ridiculous. There are many things planned and there is a schedule of guests at projectforawesome.com. You're never going to really know where all the most amazing moments will happen because no one does, so watch at projectforawesome.com/live because I think it's going to be kind of nice to do some good right now.
John, I'll see you on Tuesday.
