Drugs originally designed to treat diabetes have taken the world by storm with their use in weight loss and obesity treatment. But did you know they might be useful for a lot of other stuff, too?

A recently published paper in Nature Medicine aimed to systematically evaluate the benefits and risks for patients taking GLP-1 receptor agonist drugs like Ozempic and Mounjaro.

The data suggest decreases in suicide, schizophrenia, and even infection and disorders related to the brain, heart, and lungs. They also point to reductions in substance abuse and other overconsumption behaviors.
