Hi, my name is MARS and I'm a writer and cultural organizer living in Detroit, and today I'm going to read for you all a poem by Taylor Johnson entitled, "Consider the Deer." What made me pick this poem is sort of the brilliance in the turn that happens in the piece.

It's a poem that I find myself going back to often, and I decided that it would be really great to share with all of you.
