Hello this is Hank Green and welcome to another addition to "Truth or Fail."
(0:04) I was just thinking of myself, maybe if some of the people who are watching this are really bored because they are stuck in airports right now.(0:08) They are stuck in airports, their flights have been delayed,  for weeks because of this stupid volcanic eruption.(0:14)

How annoying is that, that a volcanic eruption disrupted your schedule in that way? (0:19) Never mind that in the eighteenth century an volcanic eruption in Iceland killed literally hundreds upon thousands of people. (0:24) You are stuck in an airport! (0:26)

It could be worst, the eruption of the Laki volcano in Iceland in 1793 killed 25% of the people in Iceland, and a cloud of poisonous, sulfurous gas blew over the United Kingdom killing 23,000 people! (0:40) So hopefully this puts that whole being stuck in an airport inconvenience in perspective for you. (0:44)  But that's not what you want you to learn,and be entertained at the same time.(0:50)

So, let's get started with this weeks edition of "Truth or Fail: Volcanoes."(0:53) "Truth or Fail" is a very simple game show, I will tell you two facts. (0:57) During one of the facts I will be telling you the truth, and the other fact I will be (1:02) expelling large quantities of hot, noxious gas.
