Gigi: Hey William, sorry I haven't returned your calls. But things have been super busy this weeks in Sanditon, at least in the mayor's office. Do you remember how I told you Ed and Clara had gone radio silent? Yeah, not anymore. It all started when Ed uploaded this video.

Ed: Hello Tom. Please accept this message as formal notification of my resignation. Thank you for the opportunities and, yeah, uh that. Sincerely, Edward Denham.

Gigi: And then Tom Parker uploaded this.

Tom Parker: Dear Ed, I do not accept your resignation. You're really not thinking clearly right now. That's Clara talking, not you! With kind regards, Mayor Tom Parker.

Gigi: To which Clara replied:

Clara: That wasn't me talking. THIS is me talking. You are a pushy, myopic jerk who should take a long walk off the Sanditon pier, WHICH IS SHORT.

Ed: This is me talking, I quit.

Gigi: And then from Tom...

Tom: Ed, let me talk to your aunt. We'll work this out.

Ed: Oh, you have no right to go to my aunt with this.

Gigi: And that's when Domino decided to stop recording. I mean, I've left Ed and Clara several messages but I haven't heard back. I'm getting kind of worried. Oh, yeah hey, Domino, answer call. Ed, hey, are you okay?

Ed: Yeah, Gigi, I'm fine. Tom and my Aunt Louise have been trying to call me non-stop so I had my phone off.

Gigi: Are they totally losing it?

Ed: Yeah.. but you know, I've been thinking things over and I finally figured something out.

Gigi: Oh, what's that?

Ed: I've spent years doing whatever it is that my aunt wanted to, because if I didn't, she would throw a fit and make everyone uncomfortable.

Gigi: Yeah..

Ed: But it doesn't work. I mean, I would do what my aunt wanted me to, but half the time she would act all crazy anyways. So she is going to disapprove no matter what I'm going to do, so I might as well do what makes me happy.

Gigi: Wow. That's brave.

Ed: You know, I don't think it is. Really.

Gigi: So, what about you and Clara?

Ed: I don't know. We'll see. She may not be interested in me now that I'm unemployed.

Gigi: I definitely do not see that happening.

Ed:I gotta say though I was pretty skeptical of Domino at first but after revealing my big news, it's not quite as creepy as I thought it was.

Gigi: I'm glad we could bring you around.

Ed: Me too. Well, I guess I should go. I'm just gonna finish packing up my things here and then I'm gonna go get me some ice-cream.

Gigi: I think that sounds like a great idea.

Ed: Denham out.

Gigi: I guess he's right about one thing. You can't let your fear of someone's reaction stop you from doing what's best for you. Although, he's also wrong. I think standing up to people you love is incredibly brave. By William. I will talk to you soon.
