Hello, and welcome to Games with Hank. I'm Hank. Today, we're going to be trying out the Oculus DK2. I have heard that it's better than the DK1, which makes me feel like I'm going to throw up in my mouth.

But if I do throw up, we'll just post it. But we might have to throw this keyboard away. Without further ado ... uh, let's do the thing.(Beep)

Alright. I'm on. We have the test screen enabled. There is a desk in front of me, some stacked cards, a desk lamp, two plants, and then an infinite grid of blue stripes.

I can turn of the camera bounds if I can find my mouse here. I'm pretty far from my desk, so I know where I can go. So, if I stand up and I go beyond the bounds of the camera, everything's and that immediately you just whoa wow.

Now, what I'm noticing here as compared to the DK1 ... obviously better resolution. Obviously, the pixels seem nicer and mostly it's this that's impressive.

Like leaning in to things and being like, "What's on this sheet of paper?" Oh god. If you exit the bounds of the camera, things go bad fast. I'm actually kind of curious, so I assume that if I reach toward the point where this camera comes together, I'm gonna pick the camera up, and I'm gonna see how I feel about i- oh, neat.

(laughing) Oh, this probably isn't as interesting to you as it is - oh man - oh, the desk is getting up in my face!

I think I put it back on the monitor, but, for some reason, everything is much closer to me than it used to be. Whoa. But, that's pretty remarkable that I can actually move around in the physical space now, instead of tracking just the directions Like the original Oculus, if you've never played with it or seen videos with it, you could just sort of look around and you moved your head with the mouse or with the keyboard. Uh, like forward and backward in space.

And the fact that I can do that with my head and be like, "Look around the corner! What's over there? I don't know. Is it Jenny? Oh, it is Jenny. What's she talking about with Skyler? Oh my!"

I just - I assumed that we're going to be playing - uh, you know, high school simulators, where we have to track down what Jenny is saying to Skyler. I figured that would be an important part of my Oculus experience here on Games with Hank.

It does still have that sweet spot problem where you've really got to get it in the right place. Or else things start to get real blurry.

But it's working well with my glasses, which is nice. I'm sure with the CB1 that we will get the kind of resolution where I won't be, like, actually physically able to see the pixels, which I still am.

Though, goodness, compared to DK1, who cares? It's so pretty! So, I'm excited to play some actual games here on Games with Hank wearing the DK2.

And you can join me in doing that whe- which I'm sure I will, uh, I will have lots of fun, feel nauseated, and pee in my pants, uh, with fear.

So, thank you and I will see you next time. Don't forget to be awesome. (Beep) I forgot I was in my office. (laughter off camera) What is...? This office is boring. Doesn't have any plants!
