[Intro]

Mike: Hey guys, so today we're going to talk about life hacks that will make food prep and life in general much easier - and will save you (our lovely viewers) time and money.

 1. Food Ordered To Be Made

M: Number one: forget "made to order," think "order to be made." Services like Blue Apron can help you create delicious chef-designed recipes at home. We actually tried this recently, and it was surprisingly easy and even fun! Basically, Blue Apron delivers all these farm fresh ingredients you need, right to your doorstep in exactly the right proportions. They've got a number of different plans, and a huge menu selection. And all meals can be prepared in like, 40 minutes max. We actually got y'all a coupon to get 2 free meals from Blue Apron on your first order. Link in the dooblydoo.

 2. Infinity Foods

M: Number two: did you know that some food regrows itself? If you have the space for ever a few planters, many foods and spices will regrow themselves if you just plant a small part of them or the roots. See, these are those. Those are these things!

 3. Create a Home Menu

M: Number three: create a home menu. If you're anything like me and hate the decision-making process of figuring out what to eat for every meal every day, take that part of the process out of the equation and just keep a home menu. Not only will this ensure variety in your meals, it will also make grocery shopping a whole heck of a lot easier, because you're going to know what ingredients you need. Badabing, badaboom. Hey everybody, there's food in the room, go go. Go go.

 4. Chart Your Courses

M: Number four: hang a measurement conversion chart somewhere convenient. Sure, Siri can tell you how many teaspoons are in a tablestoon-- tablespoon. See what I mean? She wouldn't understand that. Sometimes, you have oil and flour on your hands and your phone's in your pocket. You can design your own if you're artistic or you can download one of the many online.

 5. Bulk It Up

M: Number five: bulk it up. "To-go" and "Snack Sized" things are convenient, but believe me, you pay a lot for that convenience. So, with a modicum of self control, you can buy in bulk and put them in your own little containers that are fun sized and to-go. You'll save yourself a ton, just believe me, this is really helpful.

 6. Microwave Hack

M: Number six: better microwaving. When you reheat leftovers in the microwave, the edges always seem to cook more quickly than the middle, which results in uneven heating. To combat this, space out a hole in the middle of the plate and put all the food around the edges. It'll be much more pleasant. You're welcome.

 7. Store Brands Can Be A++

M: And finally number seven: store brand can be your friend. Now some brands do have very specific secret recipes and no generic is going to come close. But most generics and store brands are basically the same product as the name brands, and they're way way cheaper! So when it doesn't matter to you, just go with the store brand, you'll be happy that you did.

M: And that is all we've got for you today. If you guys have any food life hacks please let us know in the comment section below, we would love to hear from you. In the meantime, I came up with a delicious catchphrase... So delicious that I ate it, I'm sorry, whatever, guys. I'm sorry, I said I'm sorry, I'm really sorry, I feel terrible about this. I love you, bye. *blows kiss*
