An Abundance of Katherines is a book about the adventure of a young genius named Colin Singleton.
Colin is a recent high school grad who is obsessed with anagrams and had had 19 girlfriends so far in his life, which were all named Katherine.
He's depressed over his recent breakup and pities himself for being a child prodigy who still wants to be special, even though he isn't a child anymore.
After his best friend Hassan has enough of seeing his friend drown in self-pity, he takes Colin on a road trip.
On this trip they become friends with a girl named Lindsey. Lindsey helps Colin to gain a new perspective on a few things and she teaches him things like storytelling.
Through the story Colin tries to perfect his theorem to predict the outcome of a relationship.
What happens when Colin falls in love with Lindsey?
